AFA® Fees — registration, exam and certification
The AFA® has a clear, staged fee structure: a one-time registration fee, per-level examination fees paid at scheduling, and a certification fee after you pass. Here is everything, plainly stated.
Registration fee — what you pay to enrol
Your registration fee is a one-time payment that activates your student account and gives you 365 days to complete the programme.
Resident students (India)
Rs. 47,200
One-time programme registration fee. Includes free access to online study material through your student account.
Overseas students
USD 1,000
One-time programme registration fee for students outside India. Same inclusions as the resident package.
What is included: Free access to online study material via your student account. Examination fees are not included and are paid separately when you schedule each exam. See below.
Examination fees — paid when you schedule
Each level has a separate examination fee, paid at the time of scheduling on the Pearson VUE portal — not at registration.
| Examination | Base Fee | GST (18%) | Total (India) | Overseas |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level I — Foundation | Rs. 5,000 | Rs. 900 | Rs. 5,900 | USD 200 (both levels) |
| Level II — Advanced | Rs. 8,000 | Rs. 1,440 | Rs. 9,440 | USD 200 (both levels) |
Rescheduling fee: If you need to change your exam date, Pearson VUE charges a rescheduling fee of Rs. 1,127. This is a Pearson VUE charge and is not collected by AAFM India. See the examination page for scheduling rules.
Certification and renewal fees
Once you have passed both examination levels and completed all requirements, a final certification fee is payable to receive your AFA® designation.
| Fee type | Resident (India) | Overseas | When payable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Certification fee | USD 100 | USD 100 | After passing all required examinations |
| Registration renewal fee | Rs. 14,160 | USD 250 | If registration expires before completing the programme |
Your registration is valid for 365 days from activation. Candidates must complete the full certification within 3 years. If you need additional time after the initial registration period, a renewal fee of Rs. 14,160 (India) or USD 250 (overseas) applies.
Important: Fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances. Please review the admission eligibility and examination details before registering.
