The American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM) now operates worldwide as the GAFM Global Academy of Finance & Management®, governed by the IBS International Board of Standards. Founded in 1996, it is the world's first graduate certifying body accredited for ISO 9001, ISO 29990, ISO 29993 and ISO 21001 — and AAFM India is its official Indian chapter.
A worldwide standards body
The IBS International Board of Standards is the certifying body that owns the certifications and trademarks conferred by GAFM (the former AAFM). It works with world governments on standards and awards board certifications and designations in finance, accounting, risk, economics and management consulting. Its accreditation council is located in the EU and the USA, and its advisory board includes CEOs, executives, professors and deans from over 50 nations.
World-first accreditation & quality
GAFM/IBS is the first graduate certifying body in the world to hold ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 29990 and ISO 29993 (Training/Learning Services) and ISO 21001 (Educational Organisations), together with ISO/IEC 17024 for personnel-certification (exam) assessment.
It is TÜV-accredited and backed by SIS (IAS/IAF) accreditation, recognised by CHEA, a member of the ECLBS (European Council of Leading Business Schools), accredited by QAHE, in academic alliance with ACBSP, and recognised by AACSB and the Arab Academy of Banking & Financial Sciences (AABFS).
